Poker player looks sad after winning $15 million prize

Joey Ingram, a well-known player and host of the Poker Life podcast, had taken a keen interest in the video Brill had assembled of Postle’s questionable hands. He had experience doing quasi-journalistic investigations of poker scandals—in 2018 he accused a Costa Rican poker website of using bots to undermine its human users. But he’d never heard of shenanigans in a live game streamed from a brick-and-mortar casino where thousands of people watch the players’ every move.

The program had a tie-in to the Pokerstars North American Poker Tour , which was shut down by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York after the second season had been filmed in 2011. The PokerStars.net Big Game did not return after the second season. Elizabeth was married to actor Joseph D. Reitman from 2002 to 2005. She is a cousin of New York-based television host and relationship coach Tamsen Fadal.

In 2019, Shannon reprised her role as Justice in the “Jay and Silent Bob” reboot. She was born Shannon Elizabeth Fadal on September 7, 1973, in Houston, Texas. She is of Lebanese-Syrian, Arab-Christian, German, English, and Irish ancestry. She is the cousin ncmc brightspace of New York-based TV host and relationship coach Tamsen Fadal. She was raised in Waco, Texas and graduated Waco High School in 1991, where she was a member of the tennis team. At one point, Elizabeth considered turning tennis into a professional career.

Postle began to worry not just about the future of the only career he’d ever known, but also about the safety of his 8-year-old daughter. A key feature of The Big Game had been the NAPT passport awarded to the season champion Loose Cannon. The NAPT passport, valued at $50,000, consisted of entry fees and expenses for various NAPT tournaments. The rules were changed so that loose cannons no longer had the option to come back for another week. Four loose cannons came away with some money, with Nadya Magnus in third position with $63,600, followed by Ernest Wiggins with $50,300.

The new career sparked a deeper interest in advanced analytics, and in 2013 she began pursuing an online master’s degree in predictive analytics from Northwestern University. At the time she was several months pregnant with her first child, a boy due to be born that June. The NAPT immediately ceased operation, eliminating the main prize for The Big Game’s loose cannon.

In 2005 Elizabeth entered the Main Event at the World Series of Poker, where, under the guidance of Daniel Negreanu, she survived the first day of competition and barely missed landing in the money. Ingram’s fans soon began to inundate poker forums with their own investigative work. On April 15, 2011, along with similar competitors’ sites, Pokerstars.com was seized and shut down by U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, which alleged it was in violation of federal bank fraud and money laundering laws. The company subsequently stopped allowing players from the United States to play real money games.
