Review:
Once again I’m highly impressed with Polo500 for his lyrical content and storytelling abilities. Polo500's latest mixtape is titled, "V Card" featuring R&B artist Kene P. Kene P is an artist that I was unfamiliar with before this tape, but he most definitely has my attention now. This is a well-put together mixtape with quality production and music throughout.

The "V Card" mixtape kicks off with what I think is a hit single titled, "She My Thug." This is a radio ready, feel good single that every woman who loves her man is guaranteed to single along to. The chorus is catchy, and Kene P adds some extra fire to the track. This is a well-written song, from beginning to end executed to perfection. Hands down my favorite song on the mixtape.

Track number 2, "Down With You" has a fire old sample from the Brandy single, "I Wanna Be Down." The sample fits perfectly with the song, and Polo500 goes to work on the story.

I'm convinced that Polo500 can rap on any beat as he showcases on the song titled, "Maybe." Kene P goes to work on the chorus kicking the song off so smooth, with crispy harmonies and a dope hook. He played point guard on this song, setting it up for success and throwing the lob to Polo500 to bring it home. This is one of my favorite songs on the "V Card" mixtape.

"I Wanna Be Famous" is another song that is radio ready on this mixtape. Polo500 and Kene P talk about the process and the need to fulfill your dreams. This song will resonate with anyone who is grinding and chasing his or her dreams.

Polo500 is putting out so much new content that I was somewhat skeptical that he would be able to continue to match the quality of music that I have grown accustomed to with him. He's released solo projects, joint projects, mixtapes, singles you name it. This man is always working. He has more than proven to have the work ethic needed to survive in the music industry, and his music seems to be getting better. I think Polo500 is beginning to hit his stride. Every song is well put together, the lyrics fit perfectly, and production is always grade A quality.

Track number 10 "Weekends (No Sleep)" signifies the work ethic. This song is about enjoying the weekend with your lady. But that ends with the weekend because its time to get back on the grind.

This is a quality mixtape that needs to be in your rotation. Perfect for spring coming up. Feel good music that you can just press play and let ride.

He has lived in and around the DMV for the majority of his life. The 26 y/o started rapping in 2010 but had his dreams put on hold due to a lengthy prison sentence spanning 4 yrs. While he was incarcirrated he wrote everyday and when he returned home he felt destined to make use of his lyrics. At first he didn’t give into the idea willingly until multiple people came to him telling him about his lyrical gift & storyline.

.In 2014 Polo released his first mixtape “Lo &Behold” on christmas To critical acclaim and it only took 4 days in entirely. Highlights from that project include “Return of The Pimp Shit” and “Apology to Zay” a heartfelt apology over a wiry R &B sampled track. In the last two months of 2016 Polo dropped his first mixtapes in yrs titled “The Rapture and On My Way 2 Texaco”.

Both are available on spinrilla. His work ethic is crazy, Polo500 is a artist you should really take the time to check out because he’s an artist you’ll quickly grow to love.
